Ketanji Brown Jackson

Ketanji Brown Jackson is an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Before her appointment, she served as a federal public defender, vice chair of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia, and Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. She is the first Black woman and the first former federal public defender to serve on the Supreme Court. Her work is widely recognized for its intellectual rigor, clarity, and commitment to fairness within the American legal system.
